7 Gennaio, 2012 - Free Day!!

Today we didn't have to get up early....but we woke up quite early anyway!

Seeing as we didn't have anything planned, some people jumped on a train and went to Galipolli, whereas I decided to stay in Lecce and learn more about where we're staying.

We calmly walked around the area near our bed and breakfast, looking at all the shops in the main street.  It was so lovely just to be able to walk in and look, as opposed to rushing here, there and everywhere.  After looking in a few of the bookshops, Francesca and I left Jess with Fra P and then went to another few bookshops to look for some grammar books.

We also found some great shoe shops and Fra bought some long boots.  Not much luck for me though, as they were all too small.

We had lunch in a small little place, and I had the best salad.  Was so lovely and light! The pasta was also all hand made and yummy.  So glad that the university gym opens on Monday...!

In the afternoon we walked around more and found the large market road, with all these lovely coats for 25E only.  After that, we made our way home and had some snacks on the table in our house.  People drifted up to share food and wine and we ended up getting to bed at midnight.

Off to the Lecce vs Juventus game tomorrow, which should be good.  Am looking forward to uni being harder this coming week, as it needs to be a little more challenging.  Hopefully with the opening of the university (as everyone has been on holidays until now) the area will be a little more lively and will have more available to us.

Night all
