Not really that inspirational today, which was a shame.
At lunch we had warmed ricotta and tomato on bread, followed by a salmon risotto. I honestly am no longer hungry! We're not doing much moving at all, and we're not using up enough energy to keep eating all this food. I didn't have breakfast this morning (just some apple) and then only had the entree for lunch.
We ended up with just less than an hour spare after lunch before our cultural afternoon.
Our group went to the restaurant for a cooking lesson.
We made pasta without eggs! It was quite interesting - especially as we learnt to make orechiette. The very hard pasta, it took a little bit of practice, but I was happily 'churning' them out in the end.
We tasted 2 types of sauce, one made with chick peas and the other from tomato and strong ricotta.
No need for dinner!
I packed up the pasta we made so we can have some tomorrow night if we want. Not sure that I can handle much more pasta though, as we've been having it nearly every day. OVER IT! (Never thought I'd say that!)
After the class, at about 7.30pm, I wandered home, did all my homework and read a book. I've now sorted the blogs for the past 2 days - sorry about the lateness. I couldn't handle typing last night as my hands were so cold I thought they'd snap off!!
Hope you like my pasta shapes :)
Challenge: how do you say 'give me the book'? As an 'order'.
Seems like the organizers need to be told a thing or three!! Even if you don't learn much more about the language at least you can pick up some teaching tips (he says - trying to be positive!!). Is there anyone in the same position as you?
ReplyDeleteI'm guessing there's gonna be a long letter written to the Australians in Sysney when you get back. Just make sure they don't recruit you to do the job for them next year!!!!!
